chipinkart is operated by Abhijith H R, an individual based in India. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. You need to be 18 or over to have an account.

Nothing. There is no subscription, no paid tier and no trial that turns into a bill. We earn only when someone buys a gift through one of our Amazon links, at no extra cost to them.

Because it is free and personal, we may change or withdraw features, and we may stop running the service. If we ever shut it down we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export what you put in.

This is the most important thing on the page. When a group pledges money towards a gift, chipinkart records numbers people typed in. It does not hold, transfer, escrow or process any payment.

Settling up is entirely between you and the people in your group. If someone does not pay, that is not something we can help with, and we have no record of anything beyond the number they entered.

We try hard to send your reminder on the right day, in your timezone. But email is not guaranteed to arrive — it can be delayed, filtered into spam, or bounced by a mail provider, and the service itself can be down.

So please do not rely on chipinkart as your only record of a birthday that matters to you. A missed reminder is a disappointment we would rather you never have, but it is not something we can be liable for.

chipinkart is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme, and we earn from qualifying purchases made through our links. Prices shown here are a guide, may be out of date, and the price on Amazon at the moment you buy is the one that counts.

We do not sell anything and we are not the merchant. Your purchase is a contract between you and Amazon, and delivery, returns and refunds are theirs to handle. We do not test the products we list, and a suggestion is not a recommendation that it is fit for any particular purpose.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for what you type into it — particularly other people’s details. Please add only people whose birthday you would reasonably be expected to know, and keep the notes about them the sort of thing you would be comfortable with them reading.

What you put in stays yours. We do not claim any ownership of it.

Invite, group and wishlist links authorise whoever holds them. Anyone with the link can use it, so send them only to the people you mean to include, and treat them like a key. We cannot tell who has been given one.

• Use it to store or send anything unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading.
• Add people in order to harass or track them.
• Try to reach data that is not yours, break the security, or automate access at a scale that affects other people.
• Present the site as your own, or resell it.

If an account is used for any of that we may suspend or delete it, usually without warning.

You can stop at any time. Ask us to delete your account and everything goes — see the privacy page for how.

chipinkart is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it or from being unable to use it — including a reminder that did not arrive, a gift that disappointed, or a group that did not settle up.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, and none of it affects the rights you have as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they were last reviewed, and continuing to use chipinkart after a change means you accept it. Questions to hello@chipinkart.in.
